Fuck, still no followers? That's harsh, man. Despite having linked from my DA.
Can't put this anywhere else due to doing quick Season 16 Reviews.
Dragon Ball GT and Dragon Ball Online have been both placed on the same timeline as the anime and manga.
They are BOTH canon.
I was led to believe that GT's events were ignored with the creation of DBO. For years both prior to that and after I thought to myself "GT is non-canon, GT is non-canon."
I was dead wrong.
GT actually has the least amount of inconsistencies in the series, and Toriyama absolutely loves it and the wild design of the Super Saiyan 4, which was from Toei Animation's team member Katsuyoshi Nakatsuru. Toriyama appreciates how his work is continued like this.
The movies are also canon, fitting snugly into the timeline despite inconsistencies. Meaning that Episode of Bardock is also officially canon.
My mind has been blown tonight.
From now on, I shall treat Dragon Ball GT with the utmost respect and never flame it again.
Now then, what about the fanmade Super Saiyan 5 design? That one image that's been floating around the net is rumoured to have been drawn by Toriyama himself on a napkin. Does this mean that somehow, in some way, that this crazy, outlandish fan design is considered canon by Toriyama? Unless someone can contact Dragon Ball's Japanese publishing company asking about it, the world may never know.
Rest assured, when DBO reaches our shores, I will be getting it. Since every human on Earth now is capable of defending it, I want my long time alter ego and original character, Okami Takahashi, to literally be a part of Dragon Ball canon.

Brief history of Okami
Those of you who know me on DeviantArt know me as OkamiTakahashi, named after my character. However, despite the username I mainly focus on Trainz and TTTE works, with some MMD, TF2 and other things thrown in the mix. But you rarely ever see anything based around my characters. You may be wondering "who are these characters, and what's their story?" Hopefully this blog post may clear that up.
Okami Takahashi started out as my fictional alter ego of sorts. He was sort of Mary-Sue-ish in the sense that he was my personal take on both Link of the Legend of Zelda games and Jak of the the Jak & Daxter series. I made him a swordsman, but also gave him powers nearly identical to Dark Jak and Light Jak, however, he prefers his swordplay. Basically, the original story was of how I stumbled across an Island unknowingly created by me somehow. This Island was run by an empire, and unsuprisingly the emperor and his daughter (Hikaru and Yui) are typically Japanese. Wow, how original. Basically the story is I have to trek across the Island to Mt. Doom (my take on Death Mountain, oh joy) and defeat the dragon holding Yui captive.
Subsequent stories were named after songs, one by The Cure (A Forest, though I edited the title to Forest of Shadow), and the rest by Nightwish (Bye Bye Beautiful, Wishmaster, Dark Chest of Wonders, End of All Hope.) Forest of Shadow focused on the dragon's resurrection and abduction of Yui (whoopie, it's Mario and Zelda all over again) into vast, seemingly endless forest where the trees are so tall and thick that they block out the sun. How did they survive without sunlight?
Mr. Bean: Magic. *snort snort*
Bye Bye Beautiful focused on Okami taking Yui to Tywyn. This was during my transition into Thomfaggotry stage, as I had Okami volunteering at the Talyllyn, and these were during the Duncan days too. ("Duncan" was in the storyline, however, I'm rather ashamed of that and will not go into detail.) This story was partially inspired by one of my favorite book series: The Dark is Rising Sequence, particularly "The Grey King". I took a bit of the legend of the Brenin Llwyd (Grey King) and gave my own little twist to it.
In Wales, the ragged low hanging clouds around Cader Idris are often called the Breath of the Brenin Llwyd (The Grey King), and it's often a bad omen of sorts. As a nod to that, Yui grows weak within its presence due to the powerful dark energy within it, eventually taking her over and making her near-invincible. So Okami must incapacitate her to save her, and by that I mean end her. It was a painful thing for my character, but luckily for my storyline, I had a writer's convenience: have the spirit of the lake (the final battle took place near Talyllyn Lake as a nod to The Grey King) bring her back from dead, albeit restored to normal. It's then that Okami gives a small portion of his own dark power to Yui, just enough to make sure it won't harm her, and expose himself to the breath of the Brenin Llwyd to increase his own dark power, in the case that even more powerful foes challenge him (as the Brenin LLwyd/Grey King revealed himself to Okami during Yui's takeover, revealing that it was indeed his doing. Yui's death weakened him and forced him to retreat.)
Other subsequent stories include a chest that when opened, grants Okami new dark abilites, a mysterious being who can grant a wish to the hero of the land to aid him in his quest (I feel embarassed to say the Wishmaster was Tarja and I later added in the rest of Nightwish) and End of All Hope, where the dark power Okami absorbed from the chests and Grey King have proven too much for him and ultimately take him over. Normally I told these in first person as Okami was technically me, but during the takeover I switched to third person as Okami's memory blacked out. I ended the story with a sort of cliffhanger followed by an epilogue. Cliffhanger: Yui has to end Okami, and wishes in the back of her head that he didn't have to die. Epilogue: 1 year passes, memorials built in his memory, and during Yui's visit to one in a clearing in the forest, gets a surprise visit from a revived Okami. The Wishmaster had heard her wish and Okami was revived, and had been living in seclusion. Story ends with proposal and marriage. Woo.
I had been planning another story afterwards, titled Amaranth, where the two go on honeymoon, and the mystic Amaranth plant, source of Yui's power and somehow life, was dying, blah blah blah. This was around the time I read the first chapter of Rosario + Vampire in...what was it? Senior or junior year, I forget. But I said "screw this, this whole thing just sucks now." And thus I never wrote about them again.
I didn't feel like just giving up on the characters, and have been drawing them ever since. I recently thought of rebooting the series and making it far less Mary-Sue-ish, but was stuck for ideas until I got a 3DS. I was bored, and made Mii's of Okami and Yui, but I needed a new, third character, so I came up with Takeshi Nakamura. Basically, my idea for him is to be Okami's close friend and rival. Okami prefers his swordplay while Takeshi specialises in martial arts. So, will we be seeing new stories of Okami, Yui and Takeshi? Perhaps. Perhaps not. Only time will tell.
Now I will end this lengthy blog post with a picture. A long while back I commissioned my good friend TheSupremelyEvilOne (details on how I met her will be blogged in future) to draw Okami. She had a long list of comissions and finally finished mine today. Here is her take on Okami, which is much better than my crap sketches:

Welcome to The Soup Dragon's Blog!
Hello folks! This is OkamiTakahashi from DeviantArt, aka TheSoupDragonReturns/SodorProductionsII on YouTube.
Since none of you even bothered with my last journal, which included a question about whether I should set this up or not to prevent your DA inboxes from being spammed with irrelevant crap, I went ahead and did it anyway.
So here I will be posting updates on current projects (major writing, video and audio projects), wiki spam, real life things, blah blah blah, you get the picture. So yeah, expect updates.
